Get Your Card
Students receive an ecoPlus smart card linked to their personal meal wallet.
Buy a Meal Coupon
Students or their parents purchase a meal coupon directly via the SelcomPesa app or any other mobile money. The funds are instantly loaded into the student’s meal wallet and locked specifically for meals.
Tap to Eat
At any registered campus food vendor, students tap their card at the POS terminal to pay for meals using their coupon balance.
Track Your Meals
Students can view their balance, dining history, and transaction logs through the ecoPlus portal.

Vendors are registered, approved and onboarded.

Each vendor is provided with a POS device for processing student payments.
Accept Card Payments
Students tap their ecoPlus cards at the vendor’s POS. The amount is automatically deducted from the student’s meal wallet. Vendors get real-time confirmation of payment on the terminal.

Is my money safe with ecoplus?
Yes, your money is completely safe. ecoplus has partnered with Selcom, a payment service provider regulated by the Bank of Tanzania (BOT). This partnership ensures a secure and closely monitored environment for all transactions.
How do I load money?
You can easily load money into your account from any bank or mobile money service. A detailed guide is available in the provided (PDF document).
Where can I use ecoPlus?
Once you have an Ecowater card and Selcom Microfinance Bank account,You can use ecoplus at any authorized cafeterias both on and off campus that use a Selcom Point of Sale (POS) machine.
Who can top up?
Anyone can top up your account, including yourself,friends, parents, guardians, or other family members.
What if I forget my PIN? Is there a fee?
If you forget your PIN, simply call our toll-free number. You will be asked some basic security questions to verify your identity. There is no fee for this service.
What do I do if my transaction fails?
If a transaction fails, please contact us immediately through our toll-free number or our official social media channels for assistance.
Can I get statements?
Yes. You will receive a receipt as soon as you confirm an order. You can also request a free, comprehensive statement of your transactions.
Can I link multiple bank accounts?
Currently, you cannot link multiple bank accounts directly to your ecoplus account. Our partnership is specifically with Selcom Microfinance Bank, but you can top up your Selcom account from any bank you use.
